I have used this Law Office multiple times and have been satisfied with every experience. The first time I hired him was to take care of an issue stateside while I was overseas. He worked with me even though there was a 14hr time difference. The second, third and fourth time he just as wonderful. I recommended his office to a coworker and he was thrilled with his work.
This is the most incompetent law office I have EVER dealt with. It took Lane Heginbothem 20 Months and one court appearance before I fired him. Lets start from the beginning with after informing him that my wife said she would do anything possible to avoid the divorce he chose to simply "serve" her through certified mail. I gave him her address, her mothers address and her work address. Months later he deemed it necessary to serve her via a process server. The assistant was rude and incompetent and could never give me an update or she always failed to update my file with information I would periodically provide her. I asked for temporary orders, never received one, I informed him that my child resided in another state but he told me it didn't matter that I should still put it in the petition, wrong move as I later found out. So fast forward to a year and 9 months later I finally got a court date after telling him I had no interest in wasting time and money "negotiating" because she was not being reasonable. I specifically asked if I would be court ordered to mediation, I was assured during a consultation the day prior to court that I would not be required to attend mediation and that if I wasn't satisfied after my day in court we could go from there, well clearly I was not satisfied! My case was ordered to mediation... 2 months later after I called numerous times, each time being charged for a simple "we are still working to coordinate a mediation date" I still had no mediation date. So today 9/29/2014 I called only to be informed that I owed Harris Law office $300 and $1500 before mediation could be scheduled. So this was the last straw, I fired him. If you want your case taken care of by professionals and in a timely manner DO NOT hire Harris Law office they are incompetent borderline Legal Malpractice. I will be paying $1500 more for a competent lawyer!
Do not hire this attorney. This attorney was hired by a friend and I have never seen an attorney work so hard against their own client to HELP the attorney on the other side. Run as fast as you can from this firm. Most positive reviews come from when Mr. Harris was alive, he has since passed. The office staff is rude and not very helpful.
Absolute most horrible experience, hired them back in 2015, paid $2000 cash. Unfortunately, with the passing of Bill this past Spring, I understand due to his poor health why nothing was done. Now fast forward, Fall of 2018, Im suddenly contacted and a new hire (lawyer) says I got 1 week to provide discovery-paperwork documents (that I've already provided) or else its gonna "cost" another $1000.... Meanwhile, after attempting to speak with the 2 different office personnel about the situation Ive been hung up on by both ladies... Thank you...how professional. After said and done, I would never EVER recommend or Trust this law firm....just unreal.
Terrible customer service. The paralegal here is awful and rude. I've been trying for a month to have her help me with a will. I sent everything via email/fax as to not "waste her time" since literally every exchange we had was an indication that I was doing so. She was short, rude and not forth coming with information. I finally handed it over to my mother because I was afraid that I would say something. She was just as rude to my mother and would only give her information if she asked the exact question. Mr. Harris may be a good lawyer, but if you have to deal with his paralegal, I would save yourself the time and money and go somewhere else.
