I hired Cristin for a follow up case to my divorce from over 10 years ago and after signing a one sided agreement given the circumstances needing something ASAP, paying the retainers and finalizing the case in court which went as well as could be expected and closed over 9 months ago and over $10K later and another retainer of $7K sitting in my account, I cannot get the courtesy of a response. At one point they called and they told me that the case was done and that they would like to close the account and I asked what if we need more follow up. I was told that it was unlikely given the settlement and that we could always reopen if needed. I told them that is fine to please proceed. That was well over 6 months ago with numerous follow ups from me to no avail and with my account still not settled. Throughout our dealings response times, that is if they responded, were horrendous and I have not been able to get them to return calls, emails, messages in their system or anything. Extremely unscrupulous and unprofessional; no other way to put it sadly. Having to deal with divorce and court issues is stressful enough and the stress has been exponentially worst being stuck in this situation with an unscrupulous lawyer is something else all together! I called last Friday, February 25th, 2022 and I was told by Josh that he will make sure someone from the office would call me on Monday February 28th. It is now March 4th, still nothing. I sent a message in their system and took a screen shot and pasted it to an email chain of endless follow ups and sent it to Cristin and her staff Corina on Wednesday March 2nd, 2022 and no surprise at all to not have received a response. Now, I am posting reviews on as many sites as I can as well as reporting to BBB. Next, I have to take my lawyer, Cristin Lowe, to court to settle this with more stress and mental anguish. I needed some help with some legal forms. Ms. Lowe charged me $400 to talk to her and a $2500 retainer. After months of me following up with her office and begging for an update, or an explanation, I got nothing but promises that were not met. When I fired her and demanded my retainer back her office stopped responding to me altogether. After 18 days I haven't even heard an acknowledgment or apology, and I certainly haven't gotten my retainer back. The delays have exposed me to thousands in other expenses and a lot of additional risk. I have since hired another attorney who was able to give me all my documents and instructions within 20 hours of our first consult, and it only cost me $450. My trust was abused and I have opened a Bar complaint. Update. After a month of holding money our contract promises to return and getting the BBB involved, she didn't respond to them either. The Better Business Bureau has made two attempts to contact the business regarding your complaint. We regret to inform you that we have not received a response at this time.." SAVE YOURSELF! STAY AWAY FROM CRISTIN LOWE!

After taking my 400.00 as well as talking to an intake secretary who convinced me Lowe could help me, she told me she wouldn’t be able to because I wasn’t prepared for a lawyer yet. I had all my paperwork to show her that I was told to bring. I have never heard of a lawyer turning someone away. I was so impressed with all the videos she has prepared for the public, but upon meeting her I met a completely different person. So sad and disappointing.

Two reviews in one - how about that! The first one is about Cristin, then one for the office as a business itself. Cristin - She loves her job, something I could tell the first time we met or when things got tough and complicated in court. I had a difficult child and divorce case, of which Cristin handled with empathy, acumen, and awesome command of her legal team. In court, she is calm, collected, precise, yet aware of her surroundings. In my case, it might have been that the opposing legal team that was downright horrible at their job, because Cristin stood in stark contrast, showing respect for both parties, the judge, the case, while maintaining her pace. Initially I had thought that she would be expensive (since they're based in San Ramon), but her rate averages with the Bay Area's. Total cost-wise, your mileage may vary of course, but for me, it was worth it, even though I'm stress out monthly about how much I still owe for the entire case. Law of Office of Cristin M. Lowe - Nestled in a Bishop Ranch building, the law office is small, yet adequate. It's open and neither feels unwelcoming or warm. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable. If there was a downside, it's the feedback/communication loop between legal team, staff, and client. Mind you, during my case it was great, but it's the post-case service that suffers. Sometimes I'd call to ask a question and would be told that they'd call me back with answers; in my experience, it's been 65% response rate from the office. The finance/billing department is also another weak spot of the business, which is really why I deducted a star from this review. I'm on monthly auto-pay, but have run into times where I was double-charged, sent "pay now" or "overdue" messages even though I'm supposedly on auto-debit, and have had no alert communication from finance about interest being tacked-on to my outstanding account. Legal services naturally cost an arm and a leg, and the finance department should be on the ball in helping clients feel that they're still in control of their money.

Not only is Cristin an awesome attorney and runs a tight firm. She is truly a good person. From the first visit we were on a first name basis. She took my case very serious and guided me all the way. My personal well being was always protected. She is extremely versed in family law. A budget cost was set for the case and it stayed within 1%. Thank you Cristin!.
