Before writing this review, I looked through the few negative reviews of the Idiart Law Group. My experience with the Idiart Law Group was so amazing, so completely trustworthy and deserving of my highest praise, that I had to wonder about other clients suggesting less from these professionals. I’ve had many occasions as a professional witness over the years in court dealing with family matters. In that capacity I’ve come to know many lawyers and judges. So I knew what to expect, or so I thought. I watched Damian help a family member of mine a few years ago having nothing to do with his job. His selfless efforts cost him hours upon hours of compassionate service work for many many months until her final passing. I knew then that if I ever needed a lawyer, Damian would be my first choice. 3 years ago I was hit on my motorcycle on the freeway by a driver with only $15k in liability insurance. My medical bills totaled more than half a million. This was a complex out-of-state case that took on not only the bonded Nevada companies who employed the woman, but it even morphed into a case involving the hospital who refused to submit my claim to the VA, choosing instead to file a lien against me, since they decided to hold out for a larger payout from the lawsuit itself. This surprise had the potential of wiping out all of the proceeds after any large settlement and still causing me to be responsible for any portion of the half million dollars in bills that remained. In the end, Damian negotiated the most amazing settlement with all parties, including the hospital. Imagine the many questions I had over nearly 2 years of battles, not only about the lawsuit complexities which can be overwhelming themselves, but about this other potential financial damage coming from the medical providers. Damian was always truthful and candid about every twist and turn of this case and his negotiations with all others. He didn’t call me every day or every week. But, anytime I needed answers he was there at least by email or text. I always knew that I might not see any settlement of any value, because, as Damian explained, “… judges and their decisions can surprise anybody.” He always prepared me for every possible scenario. He coached me brilliantly prior to my deposition. In the end, Damian convinced a team of reluctant advocacies that settling with me was in their best interests, too. It was beyond my expectations, including moving the hospital lawyers to an amazing compromise, too. He took the time with me when I was stressed to speak ever so plainly, in a way that bolstered my trust for and confidence in his experience and skills. Knowing that I had a lawyer who cared MOST about my damages and my financial recovery, gave me peace of mind beyond this simple written explanation of it. All I can say about any past clients who write that an Idiart didn’t communicate well, is that it takes all kinds to make a world. and sometimes we hear only what we want to hear. I’m carrying Idiart business cards now. I’ve become a new referral source. Thanks, Damian.
