Supposed to be helping my friend get out of jail and his assistants have lied to me idk how many times.. saying he is talking to ppl to get him out but he isn't doing anything!

Paperwork was filed incorrectly on the attorney's behalf and now my dad is sitting in jail over christmas. The attorney suggested my mom (a third party) call over to the jail to work it out. What is a civilian going to say to help this matter. He was supposed to get out today, not 30 days from now. All the money my dad has forked over, for what? For Christmas to be ruined. Hopefully this is made right.
