J. Paye & Associates Ltd.

I first met Johnetta Paye, Esq. because I wanted to interview her for a CBS Chicago freelance project I was working on. That morphed into her hiring me as a freelance PR person and then co-writer for her legal blog. So I knew her from a journalism and PR standpoint, but I'd never worked with her as my own personal lawyer. Boy, was I impressed. She really is the patient, receptive, educational, hands-on, and persistent lawyer that I'd been hearing from other clients. When you work on the PR end, the goal is to make the client look good. But this time it was her working for me (instead of vice versa). nnI would recommend her to anyone who asked and even those who didn't. She stayed in the mix with my real estate agent, my mortgage company, the title company, and made sure to bug me about reading that 103-page bylaw doc and other documents I was trying to avoid. She is adamant that homeowners understand what they're getting into before they sign, that they agree with the rules and regulations, and that they have the easiest time (that she can control) doing it. I have no complaints.
