Unfortunately…I suspect that Mr. Jacobs is ill. In June 2006 he handled a legal matter for me and he was professional, affordable, and even had a surprisingly good personality compared to other lawyers I’d spoken to. Skip ahead to October 2022…I hired him again for an uncontested divorce that he did absolutely nothing with. I gave him $1k and nothing was ever done. He just kept telling me that at the end of the week he’d get it filed. That never happened. I’ve since gone to a different attorney and I’m already divorced. It literally took exactly 2 months from start to finish. Meanwhile…15 months later and he’s done absolutely nothing and he won’t answer or return my calls. I will say that he seemed forgetful…his office is an absolute disaster now…hoarder level stuff…and he didn’t seem to get around very well anymore either. These are just my opinions…and I’m only going by what he was like in mid 2006 compared to when I last saw him in late 2022. I feel that it’s less that he’s swindling people and more that he’s not capable of doing the work anymore. That’s my hope anyway.

ZERO STARS. Went to mr jacobs in April of last year to inquire about a step parent adoption. He said he could have it done in 8 to 10 weeks and filled out a little paperwork, then said we would hear from him in about a week with the next steps. We paid him in full at the consultation. We are now coming up on a WHOLE YEAR since our consultation and he has yet to reach out to us once. I have called and emailed hundreds of times and it is pointless. We finally got ahold of him in December to set up a meeting. We went out of our way and decided on a time and day that HE SUGGESTED, only for him to not show up. Learn from my mistakes, don’t waste your time. Can’t even get ahold of the man to fire him.

I paid for my son's paperwork so he could resolve an issue with his children. I found the attorney almost impossible to contact. I leave messages on his voice mail when it's not full. My son also sent multiple emails with very little response. I think it would be better if he kept in contact so my son could know what issues are holding up his paperwork. He promised the required paperwork three times and failed to provide the documentation he was paid to process. So far I am very disappointed with the service received. The paperwork was to be signed today, he canceled the appointment with my son. It's been five months since we started this process. I believe this process is taking way too long.

Mr. Jacobs has been leading me on about my divorce papers for the last 2 years telling me it's sitting on his desk and he will send it out either at the end of day or the end of week. I live in NJ and It's so expensive to travel these days. So after two years I decided to make the trip down to Savannah after reaching him one time last week to tell him I was going to be in Savannah briefly. He said ok, just call before I come. I'm here and no one. It's supposed to be open at 9:30. Here it's 10:00. Not professional.

Mr. Jacobs is great!! He helped my husband adopt my daughter and it was such a painless experience. He answered all of my questions and was very professional. He definitely knows what hes doing. I would recommend him to anyone and will be going back to him if I need any legal help in the future.
