I had the misfortune of hiring Jamie in 2013.. It’s now 2022 . Reminiscing on the poor work she did and traumatic experience I had with her, so much so I am compelled to write this review 9 years later. She truly did not care about anything other than the money, I was a younger man then and naïve to the MA family court system. My situation was unique as my ex-wife was then and still is active military, I was fighting to keep our child in the state. Thanks to Jamie that did not happen. I can tell you what did happen... she ignored me, chastised me, threatened to drop me, caused me great mental stress. I never met her in court once she sent her now disbarred husband to represent me every time. To pour salt in the wound on the day I was to stand before the judge, her husband had told me “ we want you to succeed in this case, If you want and are unhappy with the judges decision we can go to trial”. I laughed in his face and said “ I’ll take my chances with the judge”. Hopefully after all these years she’s regained her humanity and started doing honest work for people. Just be warned and do your research before you commit to this bottom dwelling pettifogger.

Jamie Mauritz James is a superb example of how an attorney who represents our legal system should conduct themselves both in life and in a court of law. She is admirable for her integrity, persistence, morals, and kindness. We look up to her knowing that she will not quit until justice is served. We believe in her and have faith in the system. Thank you Jamie for everything you have done and relentlessly continue to do for our family's health, safety and happiness. This is a wonderful attorney. One who works in the best interest of her client and strives to get you through the process just as quickly as possible, at the lowest cost possible. Most attorneys will drag out the process, which will only cause the cost to increase to you. I should know. I have been dragged through an ongoing litigation for eight very long years now. Jamie stepped in and did what no other attorney could have done. An attorney who wants to settle your case, sooner, versus taking you to a trial can only be admired and praised. That is what Jamie does, strive to get you to the finish line just as quickly as possible, with the best possible result, without running up the cost to litigate. She knows the law, she listens to her clients, and she is great at conveying onto paper the facts of your case which is extremely important. She fights to win. If only all attorneys had this type of drive and work ethic. I highly recommend Jamie Mauritz James, and only wish I had hired her from the very beginning. Her work is exceptional. Attorney Jamie James - is the best attorney I could have hoped to have had - I have been working with her and her entire team for almost 2 years on a very contentious divorce. Make no mistake there are good lawyers out there who know the law and can cite statues and case law all day long - and they sound impressive. What I quickly learned through my own experiences was that the judicial system is only loosely based on the actual written law ( despite what you think....court is not like law and order) - it's more accurately governed by the personalities of the parties involved - the dynamic interactions - Judges, opposing attorney's, plaintiffs and defendants, court clerks, expert witnesses etc.... Jamie knows the "law" inside and out but much more importantly is that she understands the personal dynamics of the people involved in the issues. She knows how to get to the root of the issues and compromise when compromise is in your best interest, she knows when to stand your ground - when its in your best interest. She gives excellent advice. If reasonable compromise become impossible she is an outstanding and natural trial lawyer - I have seen this first hand and trust me you want an excellent trial lawyer- just in case. I trust Jamie implicitly so much so that I have already recommended her to a very close friend - who also chose to have Jamie represent them. I would not hesitate a second to recommend Jamie to anyone who needs legal representation.

Jamie has been representing me for over 3 years on a multitude of divorce and child related issues, and I would never even consider having anyone but her represent me. I've spent a lot of time in the courtroom (waiting for my case to be called...over 20 days total) and I've never seen anyone advocate for their clients like she does. And she's reasonable. By far the best attorney I've seen. Highly recommend.
