I have been under the care of Dr. Hannel as my primary care physician for the past 5 years, and I appreciate his professionalism and his ability to treat me not just as a patient, but also as a fellow human being. He is respectful, engaging, and takes the time to understand my concerns, goals, and, most importantly, my health. He genuinely cares for the well-being of his patients and provides comprehensive treatment. The reason I did not rate him with a 5-star rating is due to some common issues that have gone unaddressed. I have experienced scheduling difficulties, which have inconvenienced my lifestyle. This is a factor that I must consider in deciding whether to continue receiving care at Grace or from Dr. Hannel himself. It appears to be a common opinion that his nursing staff can be unprofessional and at times plain rude. On a couple of recent occasions, I encountered unpleasant attitudes when I sought documentation for a work excuse after my appointment was rescheduled at the last minute by the office. I had intended to address this during my recent visit, but I misplaced the staff member's name. She insisted that because I was not actually seen, they could not provide documentation of my scheduled appointment, despite it having been scheduled over a month in advance and then rescheduled only an hour before my appointment, leading me to take the day off from work. While I'm not sure who is at fault, I am glad to hear that Dr. Hannel will no longer be practicing with Providence and will be opening his own private practice with a focus on resolving these minor mishaps. Despite this, I am personally not inclined to seek a new primary care physician at the moment, given the scheduling and laboratory issues at this location and the fact that Dr. Hannel will be setting up his new practice on the south side of town in the Cooper district area. I look forward to seeing improvements at the new location, and I'm interested to know that Dr. Hannel will be accepting new patients. If you're looking for a new PCP, don't hesitate to reach out!

Dr. HANNEL has been my primary doctor for a decade. He is one of the best best. He will take care of you from head to toes. I love Dr. Hannah.

Dr Hannel is an amazing doctor, when you get to see him. I’ve called several times in a month to get my referral sent to the specialist. As of today, still not sent. Every time I call the staff acts as though it is my first time call. I’ve been in so much pain still waiting to see specialist but the staff could care less. I’ll try again tomorrow. I thought conversations were recorded or documented? Apparently not!!! May need to change doctors. Really hate to but this is too stressful to handle with my health issues. Ridiculous!!!!

I cannot tell you how impressed I am with Dr. Jeff Hannel!! Our son, a Tech student, went to see him at Grace Clinic on Saturday and still wasn't feeling great. He went way above and beyond in his level of care, even calling us after his long day at work to check and see what my son might need. He is the epitome of the West Texas spirit and we are extremely grateful!

Great doctor hate it when they call me 30 minutes before my appointment saying he won't be in after I took the day off and then reschedule me to come in a month later. Scheduling nurse is rude I have had to reschedule several times because he was not coming in it's very frustrating.
