When I first started seeing her, I thought she was a good doctor. But the last year of my life was lived in agony because she refused to acknowledge my ongoing complaints or even provide me with the results of testing that she herself ordered. When I pointed to the abnormal results being the reason WHY I felt so sick for so long, she dismissed my concerns as anxiety and overreacting. As it turns out, not only did I need my thyroid removed, but I also had a parathyroid tumor which was reeking havoc on not only my one functioning kidney, but my entire body! All while she had test results that SHE ORDERED, plainly telling her what was wrong, and she failed to even acknowlege or address them. As a result, I just kept getting sicker until another doctor saw these results and got me the care I so desperately needed and never received from Dr. McDonough. No words to describe what I went thru with this doctor. So grateful for the doctors I have now. I had surgery to remove my thyroid and the parathyroid gland with the adenoma, and I'm finally able to enjoy my life again, and do some of the thingsI used to be able to do. I feel so much better! But it certainly wasn't because of anything Dr. McDonough did. No patient should ever be treated the way she treated me, or allowed to get as sick as I was under her care.
