This attorney was completely unprofessional from start to finish. He laid down during my wife's visit in his office. He sent a non-notarized version of our prenup to the other attorney, resulting in the other attorney spending more time trying to get things sent again the correct way. He failed to properly charge my wife's credit card, resulting in an additional call. He raised his voice with me on the phone multiple times, even hanging up on me. He charged a $1100 retainer for reviewing a simple (13 page) prenup, then asked for even more money on the back end! The attorney that drafted the agreement gave us a refund on his already smaller retainer. So apparently attorney Zeckel needs more time to read a document than other attorneys do to create one. Stay FAR AWAY from this guy.

I’m grateful this was a free phone consultation provided by this lawyer via my employee assistance program but it left me feeling frustrated and unheard. He was extremely rude and abrupt, never letting me finish a sentence. Complete waste of my time but I guess I got what I paid for.

I called for a consultation about child support that was intercepted of over $1,000.00 from my children's father. I told him that I didn't receive even $1.00 from the federal taxes and I've never heard of this before. The child support agency apparently applied it to something else. My child's father owes over $9,000.00 dollars in arrears. This attorney told me very abruptly and without letting me finish that it's a waste of his time and to find someone else because he won't waste his time in something like that. He was so rude, quick and unprofessional. He wouldn't even answer my questions. What is a consultation for? He also HUNG THE PHONE UP IN MY face while asking him if he knew anyone else. I would NEVER ever recommend this man. Please, beware of him.

I am super happy with John’s work on my behalf. He was able to modify the extremely restrictive judgement in my original divorce when I retired so that I no longer have any commitments to my ex. She was combative and interested in taking me to the cleaners, but he was able to get her to settle without going to court. Although he did not respond to every email I sent, in retrospect, it was unnecessary and saved me significant money in fees. I strongly recommend him without any reservation.

I retained this guy, and he went about getting destroyed in court! I really wish I had read the previous review of him before retaining him. On the third visit he didn't even remember my case, which I found to be extremely unprofessional. He told me my case was a slam dunk. I was thoroughly disgusted with the outcome of this case and even wanted to stop before heading to trial, but he assured me that we would win, and that I should continue because I was almost there. They took away everything that I had tried working for, and now I'm flipping the bill for all of this. This guy needs to retake the bar exam! Nothing more than a con artist.
