This is a non-canonical “Orthodox” church. They are a part of a schismatic group called the Genuine Orthodox Church that split off because of a calendar issue. They have 5 parishes and 2 monasteries in America, and this is one of them. I am not saying anything of their faith, as I am not one in a place to judge. But, I don’t like how misleading their name is, their website, and their title. You would never know if you didn’t dig into their website or if you weren’t well read on the subject. The only reason I found this out is because their website has a metropolitan (head bishop) I hadn’t heard of, and once I googled it, I found they aren’t in communion with literally any other Orthodox churches, not even other Schismatic Orthodox Churches.

After driving over 600 miles, the Elders and all monks received and cared for us with much love. Truly a place of prayer where I found much needed guidance, care and comfort. Sad I could only stay for a short while. I will return as frequent as possible. Thank God!

I live nearby and struggled with the volume of their bells when I first moved in. One polite email resulted in an equally polite response, and they've not woken me up since! Perfect gentlemen!
