Deb Julius was very unprofessional and disreputable. She did not file paperwork on time, causing several court deadlines to be tardy. She would make the most inappropriate, unprofessional comments. The judge handling my case would even role her eyes from time to time. She emailed me one time with an e-mail chain attached with another client - again just sloppy work. She was on trial herself for disbarment; just on the fence between ethical and unethical.
I would not recommend Roxanne Shaughnessy. She prolonged my relatively simple divorce case at a cost to me and profit for her. I was no farther along at the end than when I first retained her. The day before mediation, I was informed by Ms. Shaughnessy that she would not represent me at mediation if her $3500 retainer was not paid. I informed Ms. Shaughnessy that I did not have the funds to pay her. She then advised me, against her original advisement to not use the joint credit card, to charge her services to my joint credit card. In my opinion, this lawyer is looking to do nothing more than drain your account and fatten her own.
I would not recommend hiring Roxanne! Not only did she send short, abrupt, rude emails to the opposing side....she sent them to me too. I thought her hourly rate was extremely high. She worked on my case for nearly two months and accomplished nothing. She actually made matters worse for me and then sent me a large bill. There are a lot of attorney's to choose from. I would definitely choose someone else.
Deb Julius is the BEST!! Highly Recommended Deb took care of my Divorce of 36 years. I was so truly impressed when we were in court that day, she berried the x wife's Lawyer so bad it was a comedy! Deb had all her poop in a group with probably 100 pages of Documents and was ready for the hearing, not so with the other side! the Judge was glad to see Deb so I took it they have been in court before. WHEN IT WAS ALL SAID AND DONE I GOT EVERYTHING AND MORE I HAD COMING TO ME, and I mean EVERYTHING!! I am now remarried and owe our present life's to Deb! OH BY THE WAY I RECOMMENDED DEB TO MY PRESENT WIFE AND SHE DID THE SAME FOR HER DIVORCE! 2 FOR 2!!
