Ms. Kainen might be excellent at law, but her customer service skills are severely lacking. After asking two questions she assumed much about me and my business and made rude remarks that were very off-putting. Most attorneys offer some form of free consultation even if briefly over the phone, so the client understands the process, associated fees, etc. She was clear to state her hourly fee (which was standard and not surprising) and then proceeded to insult me by saying 'most businesses who want free information cannot afford the fees for the process'. Whoa. Little does she know I have hired many attorneys in the past and expect to pay for any services rendered. What I got was a presumptive, arrogant and dismissive attitude....not exactly what you want in a professional, let alone a lawyer.

I am surprised at the lack of straightforwardness from someone whose website presents a picture of a responsive, clear-thinking attorney. Atty. Kainen knew nothing about the details of my case; yet she proceeded to lay out reason after reason why my case might need to proceed into litigation - without responding to anything I actually said about my specific situation, and without providing any sense that she had experience with similar cases. It seems that my own situation was never at issue in our conversation - just the ego and inexperience of a lawyer trying to determine how much money might be available for a given amount of involvement on her end, not more than 2 minutes into the conversation. She became annoyed when she found I had done some research on my issue, as though it was rude of me to have an opinion about my own case, and took nothing I said seriously. I do not recommend this lawyer.

Nikki South is the most unprofessional, not caring attorney I've dealt with in a long time. Does not call back after a voicemail is left, does not tell you what you are paying for (goal of the case). Always tells her secretaries to take messages for her and takes her days to get back. When I called to ask what I'm paying for they told me to seek help elsewhere. Never work this lady!!!
