The Planning Department wants to Gut the hart out of my neighborhood with there purposed up zoning plans. I live in San Francisco's west side, composed of the Parkside, Sunset, Richmond district, and a few other neighborhoods. The purposed plan is to up zone Taraval st, 19 avenue, Judah st, Irving st, Lincoln way, Fulton st, Balboa st, Geary st, clement st and Arguello st. These streets are currently commercial corridors or single family homes. They plan to raise the height limit from 40 feet to 80 feet. (140 feet in some places), Edit: Thayve changed the upzoneing plan to now be 300 feet in some places. The idea is to add affordable housing to the west side but it wont work. The new height limit will cause a dermic increase of land value in the affected areas. Land lords owning the buildings in these areas will refuse to renew commercial leases for there tenants, forcing them to vacate the property, raising the value further. Then, they would sell the buildings to a developer who wouldn't build affordable housing, but instead would build luxury condos. The new rich residence and ugly modern architecture will gentrify the neighborhood and erase its character. The previous tenants will not be able to move back into there store spaces and expensive stores will open in there place. This will be bad for the greater population of the west side, who aren't very wealthy and may even be forced to leave San Francisco. This plan is purposed for the 2024 election and if it passes, it will slowly destroy the malty-ethnic and Asian-American communities that have formed in our neighborhoods.

A Black American father had to use his body as a shield to instinctively protect his daughter in school uniform from a driver. Some drivers or consumers have melanin bias. The Better Streets program has funds to make sure crossing the street to school is not a traumatic experience for Americans, City residents, and local taxpayers

ya’ll should be ASHAMED. fining that couple whos house has been there since 1910, are you kidding me? the home has exsisted longer than paved roads were even a thing. and then sending them on a wild goosechase to get evidence proving the parking pad had been used as such and then when they provide it the photo is too blurry? unbelieveable, all for money.

Hey boss, we've got some bad players who are operating a full blown meth lab out of an old school bus on that lot across from Bi-Rite. They've been there for months! Not now, the old folks up on the hill are trying to park their Prius on their own car pad. I've got the SWAT team ready who will escort you to serve the complaint. Good job Planning Dept... Keeping San Francisco on the map of petty and absurd.
