So I contacted her office informing them that I had a family court matter that I needed immediate & urgent action on. I was given an appointment and was told there was a $200 consultation fee. Spoke with her and again explained the urgency of the situation. She tells me she won't be able to do anything until after September because she is closing her office, but she got my $200 consultation fee. When I initially called I explained the urgency of the situation. You knew you couldn't do anything immediately but you still told me to come in so you can get your $200 consultation fee. She did refer me to another lawyer. I was surprised because I used her in the past and she was very nice and efficient. I feel she knew she wouldn't be able to help, but for some reason wanted to get $200 from me. Easy money for her. All she did was listen, said I can't help because I'm closing and referred us to someone else. That was 'crook'ed and unethical behavior.
