I was referred to Brian several years ago for a child support case. I lived out of state and before I paid the retainer Brian and Sue were both great; responsive and courteous. As soon as I paid the retainer it was pulling teeth to get a response, update or direct communication with Brian. I also felt that when I called I was interrupting or somehow a burden to their practice. I ended up terminating our services and getting a different attorney who was expedient and handled my case appropriately. I should have listened to the other reviewers who had similar complaints but I thought that they maybe just had a bad experience as sometimes happens. But that was the reality. I never even got a response from them when I terminated and asked if any of my retainer could be refunded. I would look elsewhere for a better attorney if I needed services in the future.
I called Brian last week when I was dealing with an issue with Friend of the Court. He was able, and willing to give me advice over the phone without doing an in person meeting. Most people will not even speak to you without meeting you in person, and charging hundreds of dollars. He was able to solve my problem with the advice he gave me, and a phone number to call. He will give it to you straight, and not sugarcoat things which is the way I always prefer. I would definitely use him again. Thanks Brian !
I think you'd get more advice from a brick wall! He told me to make sure I told probation about past cases where the statue of limitations were past. And me being young and Naive listened to this idiot and was then put on intensive probation and just about lost my job with Ford Motor Company because of all the hoops I had to jump through. So never ever take this hack of a ten cent lawyer if you want to call him that.Should have fired him before he even got started. So beware Brian Stacy does not know what he is doing in a criminal case at all
When I hired him I always felt like I was bothering him when I called. Always felt rushed off the phone.WhenOpposing counsel always made outrageous demands, he would give into a lot of them without taking it to court. I hired a different attorney and when they tried bullying us my attorney knew exactly how to handle her and she was able to get me joint custody. I liked him as a person but in a high conflict custody case I would not recommend.
Sure, he was a great guy before I hired him. Once I did, he called me incessantly until he got his money. After that, he never returned calls, showed up HOURS late for court, and then all he did was press me to settle. I could have done it myself and saved the money. I've since learned I could have fought and beat the charge without much trouble. Just my luck. Do yourself a favor and look elsewhere, but good luck finding a good, honest one!
