I don't recommend them and shall never recommend this firm to family and friends. I trusted them to undertake a handful of matters. They originally said their billing is proforma (to be billed based on actual work done) then they eventually issued 24 bills (repeats on bills paid) and claimed in court that I had agreed to lump sum fees and all these bills were unpaid, requesting to cut this money from the money they managed to hold when preparing documentation for the sale of my property, among those documents was one appointing them as stakeholders of the sale money. When I questioned their staff about why I'm being billed again on the same file, they initially told me, it was an accounting mistake, so I emailed them asking but they didn't reply. This law firm kept quiet about the balance of money due to be refunded to me on the expenses for the disbursement. This is dishonest according to the legal professions act. When I asked for the balance of my disbursement, they claimed I was late paying some of their 24 bills and took it as interest without obtaining a court order. When I initiated steps to sue them they refused to provide me with a full set of bills and receipts for money I had already paid, and demanded that I pay them RM2,300/- to obtain them. Lump sum fees can only be charged if there is a written agreement between lawyer and client. I don't recommend them after my extensive experience with them. As of October 2019 their ambiguous bills are under investigation by the Disciplinary Board of the Bar Council.

Khalid Iqbal is a great lawyer. He always gets our documents done on time and is on top of our case. He follows our case and communicates with us on every detail. I recommend him to anyone who needs help with their immigration cases.
