Did fine with my divorce 4 years. Hired him almost a year ago for family law with my son & ex-husband and he didn’t communicate with me on anything nor did I feel he was supportive with anything I was dealing with. Office always disorganized the few times I went in. I felt he & his paralegal made me feel worthless with the way they talked to me & bashed me with things I had done. Don’t recommend them for any family law. Divorce he can handle but if it’s more than just a straight up divorce with lots of obstacles, probably not for him. I’ve gladly moved on to a much more supportive lawyer that has been on top of things since day 1.

My experience was awful. I did not feel listened to, understood or supported by him or his staff. The office is disorganized. Mr. Matthews showed up late to one appointment and to mediation, but charged for the full appointment time. He did not inform me of important information regarding my mediation (he later told me he knew the information before the meeting) then scolded me verbally for a choice I made during mediation based on said information. He did the bare minimum. I ended up letting him go after mediation and represented myself as I could not afford another lawyer at that point. RUN.

Called to ask a few questions about a consultation. The lady that answered the phone seemed very nice and helpful. So I asked if I could set up a appointment. She said yes then put me on hold. I waited on hold for about 5 minutes not to bad! Then I here the phone picked up and then I was hung up on. Figured it was an accident so I called back. Same lady answered the phone an was apologetic. She stated that she would transfer for me. The phone rang a few times and same lady picked up again. This time she told me she would need to call me right back in a few minutes that was hours ago! Still yet to hear back from her. So I’m giving a one star review because it should not be this hard to schedule a appointment. After looking over the other reviews it seems to be common practice at this law firm.

All of his Office staff was very professional and helpful. Mr. Matthews was very through , fully explained all options and wasted no time starting procedures.

He gave me good advice about my case, he listened to me and understood my needs. Great person!
