I have worked with Polly Chong on several occasions. She’s always very helpful and explained everything I needed to do. She has helped me with many things from a divorce to a speeding ticket, and has advised me many times with patience and honesty. Sometimes the laws can be confusing and not what you want to hear, but she helped in a sincere way. She will always be my go to in VA.

A while back my Mother had a civil issue. Polly was extremely helpful and you could tell that she was passionate for the rule of law. She took the time to explain my Mother's options so that she could make an informed decision. We recently returned to Polly for another matter because we trusted her due to our first experience.

I only got as far as a consultation with Mrs. Chong and what I highly recommend is that you run the other way. I don't know if she was having a bad day, but from the start she was very rude and abrupt. I was summoned to court in VA regarding my interest in funds garnished in a joint account. She jumps in by explaining the process of how to remove someone from bank account and then stating "that's all I have to do is create separate accounts...it's easy, not a hard thing to do." This was stated in a condescending way and was not going to help with my issue. Everyone knows that once an account is garnished, you cant just remove that individual from the account. Second, she told me I needed a MD attorney for a VA summons (I'm a MD resident, but respondent is addressed in VA...reason for VA summons). Additionally, she assumed this was a child support case (which was demeaning) and when I told her it was not she abruptly said w/o much details that "Well, if they signed a contract, they owe the money." This lady did not listen nor comprehend what I said because she spent more time overtalking, cutting me off, and making demeaning assumptions. To sum it up, this has been one of the most unprofessional and incompetent experiences I've ever had. I would give negative stars if I could.

It was a great experience working with Polly and her assistant Becky. Polly is very professional, knowledgeable and reliable lawyer. The price is every reasonable.We will definitely use her again for future needs.

Ms. Chong handled my aging mother's power of attorney paperwork. This was obviously a delicate situation, and Ms. Chong made all of us very comfortable as she walked us through the process. We found her to be very informative and professional from start to finish.
