I have worked with Mr. Parag P. Patel, Esq. and his legal team for the past two tax years to resolve reporting issues with my wife’s offshore Passive Foreign Investment Company (PFIC) financial accounts. Because of a misunderstanding on my part of the Federal tax code I failed to properly report my wife’s PFIC accounts on Forms 8621. After realizing my error, I approached Mr. Patel for assistance in coming into compliance with PFIC reporting requirements and to resolve any associated tax liability issues. I integrated the items provided by Mr. Patel into my tax returns, which I have filed as required.
