spent a lot of money on a revocable trust 2.5 yrs ago - asked for some changes recently and was, in writing, told to go somewhere else...I'm not a legal pro and had no idea what "major' or 'minor' changes would be... instead of charging me for another will or even explaining why, I was told she wasn't going to work with me and basically that was that - end of communications... 3 requests for PDF copies of my will are going unanswered - wished I'd done my research before I spent all that money.... so much for trusting the legal professionals... my parent's atty still responds to emails and offers support after 50 years....if I were living closer and still in NY state I would have gone to him. This law office came to me as a referral from a co-worker...again - do you research, read reviews before giving any atty any money... or you can be kicked to the curb too.. Next stop is the SF Bar Association...it shouldn't be a challenge to email me files they already have saved... but here we are...

Consistent with other reviews, lack of communication is a significant problem! Months went by from the time my family member met with Piper until something was executed. When we have subsequently asked for assistance, it is either incredibly slow or nonexistent.

called and left several messages for piper hanson with no reply. this was after I first called the firm and spoke to mr crawford when he recommended piper so has a few weeks went by I contacted mr crawford again looking for help. he said contact piper and I told him we have. well guess what we got a call back finally but I should have know there was something wrong then. we had an issue that piper said wouldn’t take time to handle and would be back in touch with us during the week (we met on a sunday). she stated that the issue we were discussing should be very easy and she wanted to double check with her working partner. this was the first week of april but we did get an answer in june being the complete opposite of what we first discussed in our first meeting. what bothered me was not one simple 15 second return phone call or e-mail for weeks from her. I have worked with legal counsels for years and never have encountered the counsel that she provided. there are some other reviews out there by others that also had issues with her. please excuse my grammar and punctuation but to say the lease we were not impressed her at all. I could continue on with more but from my view I would never recommend her but everyone is entitled to their own choices.

She was fast, courteous, knowledgeable, and understanding of my needs. Everything was carefully explained, patiently and comprehensibly. When I need to update my docs, I will not hesitate to go back to her.

Ms. Hanson is a dedicated professional who worked with me to navigate creating a very complicated estate plan. Seeing these other reviews posted "coincidentally" close in time to each other makes me suspicious that this is a malicious smear campaign.
