I had a great experience with this team. The appointment setup was smooth, they found time to chat with me quickly and the consultation was very informative and fruitful. The lawyer was deeply knowledgable about the topic, and was also empathetic and understanding of our situation. Will work with the team again for future legal needs.
I wanted to take a moment to share my fantastic experience working with Kelley Whalen’s Law office. Kelley and his Team were fast at getting back to me and were able to provide me with a Speedy Process regarding a Civil Traffic Violation that the Judge residing in Hardin County. His Team was able to provide me with a very amicable and much appreciated resolution. I had contacted 3 other offices and none had even responded to my need until after this was already completely resolved, and I had paid my fees to both Kelley’s Law Office and the Court House in Hardin County. I am grateful and would highly recommend them. Not to mention that I really felt like they cared and were extremely courteous. Thank you, Kelley and Your Team, for your time and everything you did to help me with this matter. Respectfully, Rob
Alfred Hay would not represent my interests in a straight forward paternal rights termination case in which both parties were in agreement and where my child had no state funding assistance. There were no barriers to meeting my legal goals seeing that I live in a rural county in particular. I now have a lawyer elsewhere who happily took on my case and we are finding success together. HAD Alfred respectfully informed me that he would not be taking my case on, because of personal philosophies, I would have a left with a better taste in my mouth but this was not the case. I feel that paternal rights were protected by him at all costs and that my legal goals and the fathers wishes and my wishes were ignored and even belittled. Do not waste your money here for an initial consultation. I was not treated with respect in my conversations with Mr. Hay, I was not referred to another office, and I was told that the lawyer representing my child's biological father was "the best around... oh wow how did he manage to get them wow they're great". This was absolutely disheartening, confusing, and disgusting to hear. Alfred went on to dismiss what my legal goals were, he raised his voice at times while explaining that he was simply playing 'devils advocate', and he said everything to me other than the words 'I cannot represent you...'
I ran into financial issues about 10 years ago and got a court summons for a unpaid credit card debt. 10 years later I got summoned again. And contacted the law office of Kelley F. Whalen. They not only helped to reduce the amount I owed from 40k to 15k.l, but they settled things within weeks where I didn’t have to go to court. Terri Tizzard was nothing but helpful when it came to helping me with the matter. I would recommend this law firm for anyone that is seeking to put a close to their legal matters.
Filed a grievance with State Bar of Texas today. Horrible firm. Kelley Whalen and his assistant Terri are good only at making excuses. They are quite personable and seem capable. However, that soon wears thin when the results are not there. Over 2 years have passed since we hired them to handle my deceased son's estate. They do not know what they are doing. The court keeps rejecting their filings. Now, when we get concerned about fees racking up, we ask to see an invoice of charges. It is Jan 2022, we started asking to see an invoice in Nov 2021...nope, they just make one excuse after another. Called yesterday and Terri's excuse was her mom's flight was cancelled. Typical, Terri has an excuse like this every time I call. She is not very responsive, but when she does respond, it is filled with excuses and placating. We hired them in Jan 2020 and now it is Jan 2022 and we are essentially having to start over with a new firm. Avoid the pain and frustration of delays and non sensical drama excuses. Don't use this firm.
