Basically, our situation would have been better had we not hired this firm after they advised of the high likelihood that our case would end with increased legal and protected visitation for my fiancé’s child. Instead we just “poked the bear” and made a bad situation worse. That was the point where this firm apologized and said they shouldn’t have taken our case. They did return almost half of the retainer we gave them (Thank You), but the damage has been done and will cost my fiancé thousands over the next 5 years.

Years ago I was fighting for child custody of my son, I was told good things about Ken and was hoping to retain him but was instead passed off to his associate, Carmen. She required a $10,000 retainer and told me I needed to hire a custody investigator an additional $6,000. The custody investigator lied and wrote a bogus report, Carmen agreed that it was false and I provided all the evidence to fight it, even paid thousands more to get phone calls transcribed. When I said I wanted to take the custody investigator to court Carmen claimed she couldn’t because she was using her in other cases. She then stated that our relationship had deteriorated and that she was dropping me as a client after burning through the entire retainer. She said I could sign the waiver or she would take me to court and bill me out for her time. I dropped her as an attorney and had to start the process all over with a new attorney during one of the most stressful times of my life. I would never recommend Carmen to anyone, she deserves to be disbarred.

The receptionist there was very nice, but the Attorney we had did absolutely nothing and took our money. She did not even speak up to the Judge, so we could prove our case, even though we had all the physical evidence to win. I would not recommend her to an enemy. So sad

There is NO better attorney in Alaska to have in your corner than Mr. Goldman! You want something done? He is, the absolute epitome of what a lawyer’s reputation is all about... A Pitbull...that’s all that needs to be said!

Very professional people! Our initial meetings were very productive. Unfortunately we had to go with different lawyers. But will keep this office in mind for the next occasion, if it occurs.
