Not responsive. I ended up doing everything myself and spent a lot of money doing it after I already paid her. I never referred anyone to her. She asked if I knew someone who needed a job because she was looking for help, so I recommended my lawyer friend for work.

Attorney Boyd is by far the best attorney ever. She is very professional, understanding, up front and honest, she’s an effective communicator, and attentive to her client’s needs. She kept me updated with the status of my child support case/ hearings, she made things so much easier for me and she stayed on top of things. I also admire the fact that her staff is very professional and friendly. I would definitely recommend Attorney Boyd to my family and friends!

So far my experience has been gruesome. First there is the lack of communication. I'd received a court ordered DNA early September and knew nothing about it until I'd called the county about information on my case. A second order had to go out and the whole process was madness. Upon taking the dna test I wasn't aware there was a split fee for it. I've never been in this situation before but I'd chalked it up to my own ignorance. Mrs Boyd won't be faulted for that. Mrs. Boyd primarily talks to you through the client portal which recently I've lost access to. I find it funny this has happened right after I'd complained about her lack of communication with me. After speaking with the MyCase IT team they assured me my lost of communication for their portal is coming from my attorney's side of things. Meaning Boyd disabled my profile in which I can't receive any messages from her unless she uses regular email which she hardly responds to those either. My case isn't finished and this legitimation of my child is super important to me and sets an example for black fathers trying to gain rights to their children. I understand lawyers are busy and don't expect super fast responses. That's not realistic. If you're seeking counsel Mrs. Boyd has a heavy work load and you'll be better off going elsewhere. Edit: Just look at some of the complaints/reviews and look at how the firm responds to them. If you think that it's professional to go about putting certain details about people's case to the public when they voice their concern go for it. Just understand that if you don't like their services or had a personal bad experience and leave a review your personal information will get posted in their response. Update 11/5/2020 This morning the mother of my son and her attorney gave me information and paperwork stating Mrs. Boyd withdrew from my case. Since the dna test me nor her attorney or the dna center has been able to get in contact with Boyd. All last month her receptionist was telling people she was out because she was sick. My emails were never answered by I'd waited to hope she would get better. I know believe that was a lie. This lawyer is pure trash and I will be reporting her to the BAR for unprofessional ethics. She took the money my plan for work had and didn't finished the job. Basically ran off on the plug as they say. I know how to go through ADR and do everything myself. If you're looking for a lawyer and if you're like me who wants to support people from the culture and community this woman is garbage truck juice. Without warning she cut communication from me etc. This was a waste of time but thankfully Henry county Court has been helpful. Update February 2, 2020 Mrs. Boyd your whole response is complete garbage just like your firm. I don't have the power to erase comments or reviews on here so nice try. Nothing you've said is accurate. I had to make contact with opposing counsel because no one could get in contact with you and your communication skills are horrible. This is exactly what I'd told you when I'd first emailed you. You didn't explain the process at all. Opposing counsel and the worker from the DNA center had to tell me. I still have the text messages from the worker who walked me through the process while stating she could never get in contact with your office. I even had my main family lawyer back home in Maryland try and make contact with you and he couldn't. Your office and you are unprofessional. You cut my access from the portal before you withdrew from the case. I have the email conversation from that company too. Also mentioning how my legal plan paid for you is pointless. I've seen you make this comment to others before like you're looking down on people. You were paid to do a job and you didn't do anything. You suffer from mental illness if you think your work was exceptional. Your response is typical of a woman who lacks accountability for inferior service. You can tell by how you respond to any review that's negative.

Andrea Boyd was an answered prayer to my family at a time when our options appeared limited and the likelihood of a satisfactory resolution seemed highly impossible. Not only was she able to defend us from an unjust accusation, her calm and empathetic demeanor offered emotional security to myself and those I care about most. My children and I are eternally grateful for her service and I would definitely recommend Price Boyd Law Firm.

I’ve left voicemails, emails, message in client portal, and mailed certified letter over the past 9 months to both firms with no response (until this review). I will reach out to you today.
