I wouldn't wish a custody battle on my worst enemy. My mother and another church friend who had been through an ugly divorce/custody had worked with Steven Deig, both of them highly recommended working with him. I talked to several people in the firm over the course of a year (along with some from another firm) and felt that Laura Nowinski was it. It's an incredibly hard choice to make, deciding who is going to represent your interests in the matter of your child, but I know for a fact there couldn't have been a better choice. Laura was so wonderful in every way, and when our 3 days in court came around, not only did I have another mother fighting for my daughter's best interests, but a friend fighting for mine, and she did it with such diligence and compassion toward our needs. There were so many things that I hadn't had the chance to think about (and I did a lot of thinking) that she covered for us.
