Mr. Sams was incredibly helpful in my unfortunately contested custody case. He is extremely knowledgeable and has a wealth of experience in Family Law. As a retired service member himself, he was incredibly compassionate about my situation as an active duty service member. His rates were the most fair I’d ever seen and he was very understanding at times that were truly difficult for me. In a state that has a stigma for favoring mothers, whether true or not, he was able to show the judge that a 50/50 timeshare was best for my daughter. Additionally he proved to the judge that the restraining order placed against me was riddled with lies and hearsay, and was unwarranted, ultimately preventing it from being granted by the judge! I have and will continue to refer anyone in these unfortunate circumstances to him because of his work ethic and dedication to do the right thing. The definition of integrity. Thank you for all of your help over the last 3 years!!

I had a very tough custodial case with my ex who was very combative and uncompromising. Mr. Sams was professional throughout it all and helped me take the higher road as well as see things from the side of the courts and my ex. Though she did not change her ways or try to work with us, the way I addressed the court and treated my ex fairly helped me in the long run. He walked me through every step and every process. He explained to me any forms that were needed and submitted them to me for review before sending to the court. He even worked with me on being able to call into any court appearance if I was unable to be there in person due to travel for work.

I write this review 7 years later because it has been on my mind and is far overdue . If you are in need of an excellent attorney, I wholeheartedly tell you that you will never find a better man to handle your case than Mr. Sams. I have told him this in the past, but he saved myself and my daughters years of heartache, hardship and future troubles while he represented me during my divorce. My divorce came with many twists and turns, especially when it came to out of state custody matters. While he handled my case with the utmost professionalism and tenacity, I will proudly say he was a force of nature. He provided everything and more that I needed during that horrible time in my life. During the days where I was wracked with fear, I knew that he would always return a phone call or an email by the end of the day so that I would have ANSWERS. Bill helped me with my divorce when two other attorneys failed me! I went to two other attorneys in the San Diego area and both of them continually drop the ball including a restraining order I needed to get filed. Bill explained everything step-by-step and his prices were reasonable. I would highly recommend Mr. Sams!

Very Rude. I called to request a free consultation on my family law case. Regarding custody. I got maybe three sentencess out. This attorney promptly told me. " from what you have told me so far I don't have any interest in taking your case. When I asked him why. His response was " well I just don't want to take it." He just lost out on what would have been a very lucrative case for him. I would not recommend this attorney to anyone trying to fight for thier children. There was no compassion or professionalism with this attorney.
