Gives time for each parent (in working out the kinks in custody matters) to express their feelings and input, encourages listening and helps w perspectives. May seem rough initially being that it’s mediation, but you see practicing patience and listening sheds the emotions and helps you focus on the most important part of it all, your children. Remember Rome wasn’t built in a day and you will adapt to your feelings of hurt, or anger and see the forest thru the trees or the harbor in a tempest.
