If you have something worth fighting don’t go to him no Communication, what so ever felt like I was fighting the case by myself he wasn’t on my side he was for the County. Waste of time& money. Don’t take a case on if you have no clue what you’re doing .
I’ve been fighting a case in Cass Superior 1 since March of 2020. Instead of accepting a plea agreement I chose to exercise my right to trial by jury. The Cass County elected prosecutor, Noah Schafer, violated my due process rights provided by the constitution and despite my public defender’s objections and multiple requests for a mistrial, I was convicted of a level 6 felony in conjunction with the habitual offender enhancement; received a 7 year sentence in the Department of Corrections. I was most fortunate to receive Mark Leeman as pauper counsel pertaining to the appeals process. Truly a Godsend. The appeals process took about a year but Marks appellate brief, 30 pages long and approximately 14,000 words rang true at the court of appeals. They reversed my conviction and I was released on appeal bond to fight the case further. Mark cited several issues with the execution of the trial process including not only the material variance that lead to the lack of due process, but ambush prosecution among other things. More complications unfolded as the prosecutor, upon my early release from prison to fight the case anew, filed 7 new counts. My defense attorneys motion to dismiss the charges was denied and an interlocutory appeal ensued….basically the case went back to the appeals court for further review without having to deal with the expense of trial. This time vindictive prosecution was cited in their response to the interlocutory appeal. This type of motion is extremely complex and uncommon in the realm of law. Again, Mark Leeman showcased his vast understanding of this realm and navigated the proceedings with a degree of intellect formerly unforeseen in my experience with public defenders. He and Amber Garrison absolutely went over, above, and beyond due diligence. I would strongly recommend hiring either or if faced with the choice of hiring counsel. Especially in Cass County. Thanks again Mark, for the second chance your hard work won me! No words could accurately express my gratitude.
Mark Leeman was very helpful and supportive he communicates very well and helped with a problem I thought could handle on my own but realized I didn’t know what I was doing and he got me through it easily and efficiently with no problems I appreciate everything he managed and helped with highly recommend him
Ok, this is my first time giving a review but I had to take the time to share my testimony. Let me start off by saying that I had been referred to almost a dozen lawyers and they ALL said my case was either too difficult or challenging. In other words none of them thought I could win against the Indiana Public Retirement System (INPRS). When I found Mark Leeman of The Leeman Law Offices he was actually enthusiastic about my case. He was dedicated, thoughtful of my finances, and kept me abreast of everything that was going on with my case. To make a long story short, not only did we WIN against INPRS but our settlement was more than what we originally asked for!!!!! If you need a laywer, trust me when I tell you, call the offices of Leeman Law!!!
