I'm long overdue in sharing our adoption experience. Our case felt complicated due to being private (without an agency) and remote (we were residing in the Chicago area). Still, I can tell you that our attorney, Bonnie Levo, was extremely sensitive and compassionate about making our adoption process uneventful. Bonnie was up to speed on everything that needed to be done and kept us informed throughout the journey. Mrs. Donohoo has been absolutely amazing every step of the way as I walked out some of the hardest times of my life. She's been extremely involved and responds quickly to all questions I have had. I highly recommend Angela to represent you if facing divorce. I'm a father of two children who came to Angela after my divorce had been tied up in court for over three years. I appreciate how she focused on my children's wellbeing and my wishes to get things settled as quickly as possible. She was my fourth attorney in this process and I only wish I had found her sooner.

Ms. Donohoo was my divorce attorney and she showed a great deal of compassion and concern at a very difficult point in my life. I do not recommend Mrs. Levo for anyone. She is very unprofessional and unorganized. When asking if she has contacted teachers dcfs or anyone to discuss the children, she said that is my job to get that information for her. So basically we are paying her for her opinion. A GAL (guardian ad litam) is to represent the children and put their best interest first, Mrs. Levo does the exact opposite and acts more as a lawyer for which ever parent she decides to team with, in this case a parent that has already been seen unfit by a different gal, dcfs and judge. Also she is very concerned about getting her money but rarely returns a call after leaving several messages but maybe that’s not her fault it could be the secretary I guess. Either way I suggest using someone else. And please take into consideration a few of these positive reviews are friends that left reviews after Angela had some very poor reviews. Don’t cheat yourself. Best of luck to everyone.
