This lawyer was in a hurry to get his retainer. But after a year of not doing anything refuses to give any of $1,000 retainer back and tried to double Bill me. Would not recommend.

He is well prepared. Knows what he is talking about and was willing to work with an adoption attorney with me until we got that started with her. He should be a Hollywood attorney but we all deserve this type of representation. He was handed a case that had years of tangles and was vital for preserving the rights, safety, and innocence of a child, through a savage divorce. It is not easy to be near someone who has caused so much damage as my ex husband. I had to learn to be quiet through the range of emotions and stop shaking my head when I was upset. He just worked through it with me. He allowed me to sit in his office and look through my file and make notes to my questions. He read it all. In court, our case was like a kaleidoscope. Which view was real? The odds were against me and the years of court were exhausting and causing choas with my family. It caused me to develop p.t.s.d., anxiety and depression, over it. A lot attorneys did tell me, this was an impossible task. He took the case and listened to the need of preserving a child's life away from abuse and neglect. We may have had differences of opinion, but he did listen and prepare himself for what we needed. Thats not to say, I didn't listen to his suggestions. Some things I wanted would have been misplaced money, a waste, and he told me to save the money for the things we would succeed in. I noticed he allowed the judge to ask questions about interpretation of the law. Mark saved us by not giving into it without the judge giving clue to his views. We were able to take a break and we found the way to keep moving forward in the case. Anything less would have stopped everything right there. It is worth the money. From a woman who wasted thousands on attorneys who weren't prepared to the totality of the case.

Attorney Mark Steffens had been on a conference call nearing his closing hours for the day. Although it was after hours Mr. Steffens returned my phone call and gave me the consultstcon necessary to proceed with the judicial process.

This lawyer was affordable and did what he promised. Highly recommended.
