He was affordable and helpful. He also made you feel comfortable talking to him and he explained the situation to where we understood without making us feel stupid.

I have known Tom for close to 20 years. We have worked on many projects. He has always been very professional and easy to work with. Providing a high quality work product is his number one priority. I would highly recommend Tom and have recommended him on several occasions.

I would NOT recommend this law firm to anyone. First off he is very unprofessional when speaking about my stepdaughter he started cussing at me. He told us to pay the f*g bill. We pay for everything for my stepdaughter including extra curricular activities. I did not appreciate him cussing at me at all. Secondly, in court he was terrible. He couldn't get anything out and he was stuttering. I was very displeased with that. It was embarrassing to watch his representation. Lastly, apparently their billing ladies had quit making them months behind. Its been months down the road from ending the custody case. We are still getting billed. So last month my husband goes to pay ALL but $200 off we get a bill this month for $570!? Crooked system for a Dad wanting to see his Child.

Around 2006 my adult son asked if I would help him retain a lawyer. I reluctantly agreed. I was fighting Pancreatic Cancer and taking huge amounts of painkillers. We were from out of state and found Thomas McDowell online. He charged my son $1750 to get started. We drove 14 hours to Wichita. McDowell then asked for another $2000. In his office I signed a paper I thought meant we had retained his services and I was through. The opposing Attorney charged $3200. I had already paid $3750. McDowell then said I owed another $5000. For almost $9000 we received a 5 hour pizza visit with my Grandsons. In 2007 is the last my wife and I saw or heard from our Grandsons. I believe Mr McDowell used his knowledge of the law to take advantage of our situation. He won a judgement against my irresponsible son and myself. It is now over $10000 and he will take it from my wife after I die and she has to sell the house. He is NOT the kind caring attorney he portrays himself to be. I would "never" have knowingly signed anything taking responsibility for my son's debts. I thought I was helping..instead I feel Mr McDowell took advantage of us. He will collect his money from my innocent wife after I die. All we wanted was to see our Grandsons. Beware before you hire this man to represent you.
