Alicia Albus and her excellent team did a great job with our estate planning by attending to every detail. Mitchell, Brown and Associates treated our family as they would their own family. We feel comforted to know that someone is watching out for us.
When my mother passed away, I needed to become the legal guardian for my brother with a developmental disability. Nikki Mitchell expertly walked me through every step of the process, including the virtual hearings with the judge. Her kindness and good counsel helped me and my family through this unfamiliar experience with only positive outcomes. So, of course I went back to Nikki when my husband and I were ready to make our Will and healthcare directives. This process was also very smooth and positive, many thanks to Nikki and everyone at Mitchell, Brown & Associates!
Alicia took the time to listen to our needs. She made this an easy and smooth process. We highly recommend Alicia and her associates for future estate planning.
My assessment of the law firm of Mitchell, Brown & Associates is based on years of experience doing business with lawyers and law firms in my position as Managing Partner of CHARTOR Entertainment LLC (www.CHARTORentertainment.com ). I was the Executor of my Aunt and Uncle’s estate, they lived in St. Louis, MO. Both my Aunt and Uncle had fallen ill and their only daughter (my cousin), with whom they had a difficult relationship, had taken legal action to seize their estate. I needed to retain a law firm in St. Louis that specialized in estate and probate law. A dear friend and former business associate based in St. Louis highly recommended Ms. Brown and her firm. Ms. Nikki Mitchell, Ms. Martha Brown and the staff at Mitchell, Brown & Associates are the right team to advise and represent clients seeking the highest quality legal expertise in elder law. They treated my Aunt and Uncle with the utmost respect, kindness and consideration. For four years, from 2017 until 2021, I traveled constantly from Los Angeles, where I live, to St. Louis for court hearings, depositions, meetings with the team at Mitchell-Brown, and to spend time with my Aunt and Uncle. Ms. Mitchell and her staff maintained constant contact with me and visited my Aunt and Uncle on a regular basis up to the time they passed away; my Uncle died June 2018 and my Aunt died March 2020. My Uncle adored Ms. Nikki Mitchell. In the first year of litigation with my Aunt and Uncle’s daughter, before my Uncle passed away, he would call me to let me know that Ms. Mitchell paid him a visit. It always made him feel good to receive a visit from Ms. Mitchell. She did this as a courtesy, her visits were never included in ‘billable hours.’ Ms. Mitchell’s grace and respect for my Aunt and Uncle is not typical nor standard practice for 99% of the attorneys I have worked with over the years. In partnership with The Lacey Law Firm, a second law firm I retained to prosecute the civil case against my Aunt and Uncle’s daughter, Ms. Mitchell and her team did their due diligence by uncovering fraud, financial malfeasance and elder abuse on the part of my Aunt and Uncle’s daughter. I have written this review for two reasons: 1) It was long overdue for me to express the depth of my gratitude and appreciation to Ms. Brown, Ms. Mitchell and the entire team at Mitchell, Brown & Associates for demonstrating a level of professionalism that represents the very best of the legal profession and 2), to assuage any doubts or questions about the professional integrity, honesty and unimpeachable rectitude of the Mitchell-Brown Law Firm; such doubts were expressed in a couple of negative reviews posted by former clients who, quite frankly after reading the reviews, clearly have an ‘axe to grind’ rather than seeking common ground to resolve a miscommunication. I stand by every word and every statement in my commentary. In closing, I reiterate a statement at the start of my narrative: My assessment of the law firm of Mitchell, Brown & Associates is based on YEARS of experience doing business with lawyers and law firms in my position as Managing Partner of CHARTOR Entertainment LLC. I’ve retained and I’ve engaged in business transactions with some of the best and worst lawyers working in the legal profession, therefore, I am more than qualified to speak to the quality and distinction of the legal expertise of Mitchell, Brown & Associates. If you are considering retaining a firm in the state of Missouri specializing in Elder Law, Estate Planning, Probate, Trust Estates, Guardian/Conservatorship Estates, Last Will & Testaments, etc., the team at Mitchell, Brown & Associates is the VERY BEST firm in the state of Missouri to advise and to help you to reach the best outcome for your specific needs. I speak from experience, Ms. Nikki Mitchell is one of the very best attorneys I’ve retained in all my years in business and that includes the entire legal team and staff at Mitchell, Brown & Associates. Sincerely, Victor Leo Walker, II, Ph.D Managing Partner, CHARTOR Entertainment LLC
My wife and I needed to update our wills and create some other important estate documents. Alicia and the staff couldn't have been more accommodating, professional, and patient; we are pleased with our experience and highly recommend Mitchell, Brown & Associates
