"I'm your lawyer. You tell me what you want, and it's my job to get it!", that was the quote that came from Joe when I hired Joe to represent me. Joe lives by that motto, and will do everything in his power to get his clients exactly what they want. Joe will also tell you when you're being unrealistic and he knows that you will not get what your asking for. I am so thankful that I had a straight forward lawyer who would fight for the things he knew we would win and then negotiate the stuff we needed to. I will definitely recommend Joe and his law firm, if in the event my friends/family need a lawyer.
Some of the worst customer service & unorganized people I've ever met. If you want to pay outrageous amounts of money to be lied to definitely get Joe Skemp as your attorney. Stay far away from this man who will bill you for everything (Like Emails from a third party telling him that his clients can't get ahold of him for days on end) or tell you one thing on the phone, put it in writing via email then get on the phone a few weeks later & say "I never said that. it's not my fault" Joe claims he "Can't get voicemails" because he had to 'Fire' his assistant. But at over $200 an hour I would think you would know how to work your own phone? Joe Skemp has no accountability for his actions and will screw you any possible way he can. Literally cannot even call you at your scheduled phone conference appointment with him. Stay far far away!!!!!
One of the oldest law firms in the La Crosse area. They are expensive but you definitely get what you pay for. They were amazing at giving advice on what to do for a custody case. Joe is an amazing, kind, and caring person and really wanted what was best for my children and my family!
