They seriously go above and beyond. Not even just the dentists but the hygienists, assistants, receptionists and all. My daughter is autistic and has a hard time with new places and loud noises and unfamiliar faces. Many other special needs moms suggested, splash smiles But I was still skeptical. They took her into a separate room instead of the bay area to help her feel more calm. Because she was afraid she still had a meltdown, but the hygienist brought out all the different toothbrushes. She could choose from and helped her feel like she had autonomy which made her feel so much more at ease. When the dentist came in, she did a dental exam on my daughters stuffed Minnie mouse so my daughter could feel more confident in what was happening. They helped her feel like a part of the process, which I think helped my daughter. Have a good experience. She has to brush her teeth over and over with her new toothbrush (when before she used to fight me to brush them) I seriously cannot recommend them enough. Amazing people and place. This is what every dentist office should strive for
Today, my 7 year old needed a filling on a molar. They were originally unsure if a filling would work or if they’d have to put a cap on it. The last (and only other) time he had dental work, he was put to sleep, so this was his first time being awake and aware. The staff was so kind, comforting, and used great terminology. “We’re going to put your tooth to sleep. You’ll feel the spins like you do the toothbrush”, etc, so Nothing was scary for him at all. (My child is a Highly Anxious and Easily worry filled kid, so I was worried!). Everything went SO smoothly, though! It honestly seemed to go smoother than even a regular cleaning. They gave my son hand signals to do if anything bothered him, but he didn’t have a single issue. They also took the time to update his front teeth X-rays to address some grinding concerns I had. They were just so reassuring and kind that I couldn’t have pictured it going any smoother than it did! I’m also thankful that they do look at the best route and aren’t just “out for the money”. They could’ve easily told me he needed a crown on it, so they’d make more money (and I’d have no clue if it was necessary or not), but they didn’t. They truly focus on what’s best for their patients and not their pockets. Thank you Splash Smiles! This mama is very appreciative!
I can’t say enough about Dr. Katie and her team at Splash Smiles! My son was the last appointment for the day for his regular cleaning and they took the time staying later to take care of another issue we had come up the night before so that he would be comfortable. They were so kind and patient with him. It made everything go so much better!
My 4-year-old’s first dentist appointment went beautifully thanks to the fun office and staff of Splash Smiles! And they’re great at educating children on dental hygiene!
Dr. Beth and Dr. Jenn are not only warm, friendly and personable people, but also they are incredibly talented at what they do, some might even say they are (dare I say) THE BEST DENTISTS IN THE UNITED STATES, possibly even the world, however we have limited experience with dental care outside the US, just judging from the grills I’ve encountered abroad, I’d say they’re at least top 3, internationally. Very relaxed atmosphere in what could be a challenging environment for kids (and weaker adults) but also attentive to detail, very open and explanatory about processes and procedures, very helpful in encouraging preventative behaviors that will lead to less inconvenience for patients and parents in the future as well as creating a fun and chill environment. VERY chill. I highly recommend that if you find your kids in need of some dental care, RUN don’t walk to Splash Smiles and beg them to accept your kids as patients.
