Approximately 18 months ago my sisters and I started receiving contracts regarding mineral rights in WV. We knew nothing about mineral rights! After extensive research, we found out how our interest in this property came about in the early1900s. Like many of you, we didn’t know what to negotiate for and what terminology we needed in our contracts. Everyone knows the first offer is never a good offer so we couldn’t just sign the first contract, that’s a bad idea. We needed professional help, but at the same time the distributed ownership down through blood lines waters down individual percentages. You can’t spend too much money on legal costs or you make the endeavor a waste of time. After doing more research we paid for a one hour consultation with Kyle Nuttall. Absolutely worth it and not binding. We discussed all the ins and outs, what was important, and he ended with what he thought we could gain on negotiations, payments, limitations. He quoted a cost for representation and we took time to think about it. We had 5 family members involved at that time. Split between the 5 of us, the cost was minimal so we agreed to go with Nuttall Legal. We signed a representation agreement which was simple and concise. We ended up adding 5 more family members so that helped them and us, representation costs went down for everyone. Communication with the Nuttall Legal was outstanding, credit to Darla in the office who handled most things. If I needed an update or anything it was a simple phone call or email and I had a response fast. I also had Nuttall Legal handle a separate deed filing that required a retainer. That worked out very well too, they solved an ownership/percentage issue for me, filed some documents with the county, cost was really fair. After about three months, we had a negotiated agreement with much improved pay rates and beneficial terms in an addendum, and a rapid pay schedule specified. After signing, we all received checks within 15 days. Don’t be in a hurry, get good professional legal advice, let the process play out, you will be rewarded. I highly recommend Nuttall Legal if you need assistance on a mineral rights issue. You will not be disappointed.

I read all of the positive reviews about Kyle and had a really nice conversation for about an hour prior to doing business with him. I felt very comfortable signing a contract to start doing business with him. I signed the contract and sent a large sum of money and never heard anything from him or anyone in the office again. I attempted multiple times to follow up on the status of my case and our agreement. I made many phone calls and sent many emails. I never received any response. I am very disappointed with the lack of service and communication from this firm. I would not recommend this firm to anyone. The unprofessionalism is unacceptable.
