This review is for Jennifer Meister, one of the senior attorneys with the firm. It's not often I leave a review for an opposing counsel but I worked across from Ms. Meister on an extremely acrimonious dissolution that required both of us to think outside of the box in the best interest of our clients. Ms. Meister was a consummate professional throughout the entire process and though we both had our moments with the other I'm sure, I would welcome the opportunity to sit across from her again, knowing we'd likely be able to reach a fair and equitable agreement without the unnecessary gamesmanship so many family law attorneys resort to.
As I’m sure it is for many, filing for divorce was one of the hardest decisions of my life. It was not an easy decision and the situation I found myself in was something I could never have imagined and one that not many people could relate to. When I made the decision to file, I began researching law firms and even met with 4 different firms. Each of those 4 different meetings left me feeling confused, scared and second guessing my decision to file. It felt as if no one would understand or be able to relate. Eventually I had a friend recommend I meet with Ben Older. Meeting with and working with Ben and his paralegal Desereah allowed me to breathe. I could breathe and I could focus on myself and my kids knowing that I had an amazing team in my corner. They care but are also realistic and patient. There is a lot of hurt, confusion and uncertainty with divorce, but I am certain I made the best decision possible when choosing to work with Ben and Desereah.
