Just retained this attorney, and have Mike becker who has been amazing to work with! Would definitely recommend this attorney for any business contractual legal services!
A very highly competent and professional office. No games at all with billing. I highly recommend. My attorney was Michael Becker who was a pleasure with which to work. Orton, Tooman, et. al. was responsive to my inquiries, had the breadth of competencies/expertise required in-house and was sensitive to intricacies during communication with the opposing party. I found that Orton, Tooman, et. al. was NOT the typical small-town law practice that lacks breadth of knowledge in the growing-complexity and ever-expanding practice of law. *Unlike* small practices (in small towns) that try to find every reason to outsource/refer to local in-town Subject Matter Experts (e.g., other lawyers, accountants, and bill the client for it), Orton, Tooman had the competencies in-house and was fair with their billing. The representation I received as an out-of-state client was better than that which I have received in other states or as a local client.
If you're looking for a money hungry lawyer that will NOT give you a straight answer, then, by all means, hire David Kiel! This guy will change his mind set and opinion multiple times a day of it benefits his pocketbook! Do yourself a favor and find an attorney that is more concerned with representing you than representing his bank account! Definitely don't ever do a will or trust with this character!
they did my articles of incorporation for my business. Fast, honest, competent, businesslike. No major complaints. A little pricey (hence the four stars) but worth it. Also, let's get real, it is a law office. If I wanted cheap I could have bought a template off the internet ... and got what I deserved.
This happened many many years ago but still haunts me. My grandfather who had alzheimers went to see attorney McKown and wanted to sell some property on Miner Lake to have some money for he and my grandmother. Because he was not of sound mind, (diagnosed with alzheimers) He sold the lake property to his trusted attorney for pennies on the dollar. I'm sure Mr McGown can retire quite well. With today's elder law this never would have happened. It just bothers me so much that this could happen from a trusted attorney. I'm not sure why family members were not contacted to make sure this was a sound decision??? Hmmm.
