I have been a friend and colleague of Oscar Sommers for about 40 years. He served as my investigator while I was the elected County Attorney for Montgomery County from 1981-1984. During that time, he also attended night classes at South Texas Law School. Upon graduation, he entered private practice in The Woodlands and served as an Army reserve legal officer with the Army Judge Advocate Corp. He rose through the ranks to a full Colonel, handing numerous complex legal issues during his career. Upon retirement from the Army, Oscar resumed private practice and has an office in our building. We visit on many occasions and I am impressed with his conscientious attention to his clients and his thoroughness in competing each task at hand.

Incompetent and careless. If I could give him no stars I would. I investigated him online to find out he specializes in family law not criminal, so if you end up with him as a court appointed attorney consider yourself screwed. I advise requesting an attorney with some type of intellect. Oscar DID NOT take the Texas BAR exam and knows hardly a thing of Texas law. If it wasn’t for my wife looking into him I would have been in prison. He is by far the worst excuse of an attorney. My wife was pretty much my attorney and I ended up with probation over 10 years prison. Thank god my wife investigated and I feel bad for anyone who gets stuck with him. I would have been in better hands letting Chris brown represent me.

I contacted many attorneys in the area, Sommers was the first one I spoke with that took the real time to understand my case. I felt that he was really listening and look forward to proceed with him as my attorney.
