I would not recommend. They were with paired with us through the LegalEASE platform (also would not recommend) and it caused us a lot of frustration and headache. They accepted our case on a Thursday with documents due Monday where they assured us they could meet the deadline. After Thursday they didn’t respond to multiple calls from myself, our Realtor, and the platform. With such a time crunch communication is critical- even if it is to say they can’t meet the deadline. However, their lack of communication left us scrambling to find new representation the day documents were due. When we let them know we didn’t need their services they finally wrote back immediately and failed to acknowledge the position they put us in and stress they caused. Honesty and communication could have avoided this whole mess.
Otter Creek Law is very knowledgeable when it comes to real estate law and affordable housing issues.
Jeff Guevin (Otter Creek Law) is great. Very professional, friendly, intelligent, and charges a VERY reasonable rate (and unlike my other experiences with lawyers in the past, does NOT try to over-charge / over-bill. I will definitely work with Otter Creek Law again if need be. And I would definitely recommend them.
