Paula has been very effective in representing me in my custody case for the past year. I am so grateful for her and her staff. Every interaction with her and her staff has been very professional and pleasant whether in office or over the phone. Paula is an amazing attorney! She is transparent and very easy to communicate with. I cannot express enough how grateful I am and how truly amazing Paula has been in representing me in my unique case. She has shown exceptional commitment, dedication, and compassion while working with my case and with me financially. While in court Paula shows relentless capability and it gives me peace of mind and confidence knowing my case is in the best hands possible.

Melissa Fries was the attorney that helped me navigate my divorce and she was phenomenal! She was extremely knowledgeable and she took time to explain things to me so I was comfortable. She was very supportive throughout the entire process as well. All of the staff at Paul Fisher Law Firm were kind and helpful and I would absolutely recommend them to anyone.

This law firm is a train wreck and money pit/vacuum. I spent approximately $20,000 on a very small portion of a family law case that was primarily based on my attorney's incorrect understanding of the law. And I lost. Paula Fisher complained that I "owed thousands of dollars for months before deciding to pay". However, I still have a copy of EVERY SINGLE MONTHLY invoice that shows that I was NEVER any more than $170 past due, and that was only by 30 days. My attorney (Melissa) failed to provide critical time-sensitive information and documentation to me until 28 FULL DAYS of receiving it. Beyond 21 days, I (nor anyone else) could do anything about it, per the statute. "Dropping the ball" would be an understatement here. One month I was charged ~$11,000 without anyone giving me a heads up that this unreasonable cost would soon be charged. I was charged about $1000 for my attorney (Melissa) to construct a small table that could easily fit on half a page. It was something that could have easily been done about in 30 minutes by a person with no legal experience (like me). My attorney did not start to prepare for my hearing until the night before and was sent critical information about the hearing just 2 hours before the start. On another occasion, my attorney dragged her feet and gave me only about 2 hours to review/reply before an important deadline (and that was assuming I was available at that time on that day). No advance notice whatsoever. I was threatened about payment on my account ONLY 5 DAYS after FIRST receiving an invoice or verbal information on the charges. I was given the answer "I don't know" when asking details about why opposing counsel was objecting to our motion because it did not follow standardized court rules. They recently hired a lot of staff with little experience. And no staff with medium to lots of experience. Interestingly, no one every answers the phone when you call. And calls are return less that 50% of the time. I could go on. From what I hear, other clients are charged 10 times more than they should for the same sub-par work. And the "sub-par" description is being generous. Perhaps the only place they have in a court of law is to defend themselves against dereliction of duty and fraud?

I hired Paula’s law firm for a show cause case from my ex wife breaking a court order and keeping my children on my parenting days. I had a meeting with Paula over the phone and she assured me it was a quick and easy case to win. What she didn’t tell me is that she rarely uses paralegals and that you are charged lawyer fees for almost all work done at $350 to $400 an hour. My invoices were constantly wrong and I had to contact her numerous times to correct it. After I received my first invoice I was shocked at how much she had charged me, I hired Paula in February of 2022 and the case was resolved with a win in December of 2022 and the total bill was about $8000 to get 9 days of parenting time back. After complaining about the ridiculous bills she did give me about $2000 off. So $6000 to get 9 days back. After I paid Paula her final invoice she said my account was paid and closed but then in march of 2023 I received another bill from her for a meeting in February that never happened. When I emailed her about this, I said I didn’t owe her anymore money and that this meeting never happened and that her billing has been ridiculous since day one and she couldn’t even be bothered to respond… This law firm seems very unprofessional compared to the other lawyers I’ve hired in the past and MUCH more expensive. Melissa that works for this law firm and handled the actual leg work of my case was on the other hand very impressive in court and I have no complaints about how she handled things in court.

The last thing you want to hear from your attorney is “I don’t know.” If you want zero results and charges that are eight times what are reasonable, this is your place. You’ll also receive court documents that are approximately 30 days late so you’re better off doing all your work yourself to meet deadlines.
