Good company to work for if you have a disability as they are very accommodating for those individuals. Through the AbiliityOne Program they hire individuals with disabilities but must maintain a certain percentage of people with disabilities. Otherwise they do not receive federal funding. As an unemployed Veteran I found this job while searching for jobs at the Virginia Employment Commission. As a whole the job was good while it lasted. If you have no disability you may become persona non grata. They refuse to follow the rules and procedures laid out in the employee handbook and the CBA (Collective Bargaining Agreement) and are not knowledgeable of such . If you are a Veteran of the U.S. military and do not have a disability I would not recommend this employer.
So thankful that this company exist. It allows my husband to be gainfully employed again despite his disability. It's something to work hard, have an unfortunate tragic accident that leaves you an amputee and be denied Social Security. We lost a lot over those first 2yrs of him being unemployed but at least God allowed me to still have him. Thankfully to PCSI opportunities are endless now. I just wish there was more structure in their permanent hiring practices. Many part time employees are hired without fulfilling the full time positions. Regardless I'm still thankful! So if hired just hang in there. The hours can be rough for a new hire but it's well worth it.
