Roach & Murtha, P.C.

Same as all of the other poor reviews. Timothy Murpha was very rude saying he was an attorney for a case against me. I let him know there was already an attorney assigned to the case from before and it was a duplicate case. He laughed and said oh no he would see me in court, serve me papers, etc. I let him know once I recieved the papers id give him a call. He laughed and said "oh no we will talk about it right now," then kept calling me back when I hung up. Predatory behavior to say the least.. Within 2-3 says following this I recieved a signed notice of discontinuance from Timothy from the other attorney.. guess I am the one laughing now! Do better Timothy Murphy!!

Timothy Murtha, as TONY SING (as most reviews here mention him) is a profit splitting Partner, is not and has never been licensed to collect debts in New York City as required by New York City Admin. Code § 20-490, yet has engaged and continues to engage in the collection of debts within New York City. Murtha is a DEBT COLLECTOR and is liable for acts of his subsidiaries, interns, affiliates and independent contracts. ROACH & MURTHA PC has never been registered with the Department of Corporations as a DBA for Roach & Murtha Attorneys at Law PC nor as a DBA with the Department of Consumer Affairs. Roach utilizes ROACH & MURTHA PC , a non- registered DBA interchangeably in their collection letters, summonses and affirmations. Whenever the correspondence is addressed to Roach & Murtha PC , Roach Defendants ignore it and never respond to it. Public records equally show that Roach Defendants do not participate in legal proceedings filed under Roach & Murtha PC. BEWARE! Yet, the entrance door sign for Roach and Murtha Attorneys at Law PC for their suite says: Roach & Murtha PC. (Photograph of their door attached ) while the DCA license posted on the wall inside their suite shows NO registered DBA of Roach & Murtha PC for Roach & Murtha Attorneys at Law PC (See PHOTO). These debt collector SCAMMERS fraudulently obtain DEFAULT judgments, garnish bank accounts and place liens on primary residencies alleging shady and non existent debts along with their multiple reaffirmations of false affidavits of service. These FRAUDSTERS did this to me! On top of providing false and fraudulent affirmations pertaining to some “student loans” and a “written lease agreement”. Previously located at 6901 Jericho Turnpike, Suite 101, Syosset, NY 11791, these SCAMMERS did business under the entity name Kirschenbaum, Phillips & Roach, P.C. and PETER T. ROACH & ASSOCIATES, P.C. The firm was founded by Peter T. Roach, formerly of Kirschenbaum & Phillips, P.C., and was originally named Peter T. Roach and Associates, P.C. It is funny how they post 5 star reviews, clearly FAKE. GOOGLE please INVESTIGATE all these “local guides” giving them 5 stars! Only “local guides” give them 5 stars, NOBODY else. Does Roach "provides good service " only to "local guides" in exchange for good reviews or are they simply paid off??? Either way it is fraud. Just like their entire business is FRAUD aside from it being false advertisement. Read reviews by real people!!!! Report them to authorities and share your stories here so that these SCAMMERS and their co-conspirators can be STOPPED once and for all!!!

The name roach makes sense. I’m pretty sure the attorney who I spoke with is Tim Murtha but he tries to cover up by saying his name is “tony sing” he is the most rude, unprofessional and UNPLEASANT person I’ve ever spoken to. It’s disgusting to treat people the way I was treated over the phone. I feel horrible for anyone who has to deal with this guy. He’s clearly miserable with his own life. Impossible to talk to because he clearly gets very emotional and angry the moment you start asking questions. HORRIBLE HORRIBLE HORRIBLE PERSON

This is the most unprofessional company I've ever encountered! I called to clear whatever debt they said I had, and a man named Tony Sing started yelling at me (at the top of his voice) as if I was his child, simply because I had questions about the debt.Then he hung up the phone on me without resolving anything. These people are clearly miserable and I would avoiding hiring them at all costs.

I work with this firm frequently and am pleased with the results they get for my company. As a law firm they cannot pursue a debt that is out of statute. so remember when you read other comments no one likes to be forced to pay a debt. But those trying to duck out on their bills costs us all more money when the costs of goods increase because people or business don't pay what they owe.
