R. Todd Waddell Law

Todd Waddell was paid to represent my husband and never showed up in court resulting in my husband having a warrant for his arrest. In my option this is indicative of how he handles his personal life and responsibilities. As you can see by the reviews Todd has a history of not showing up in court after being paid to represent. I am friends with his soon to be ex wife. I nor any member of my family has any property of Todd Waddells. If you are talking about Phoebe , your beloved dog that you ABANDONED. I should have called animal control and reported you for the condition that dog was in. Shame on you! You have not lifted a single finger to provide shelter, food or medical care for that dog or anyone else in 2 years putting all responsibility on your soon to be ex -wife after you were EVICTED from your home. I helped your wife move your family out of that house while you sat on the couch doing absolutely nothing but trying to argue and fight with your wife. Several witnesses. Todd Waddell is a terrible human being in my option and takes no responsibility for anyone but himself, not even his beloved dog. You have misrepresented your part in my husbands case as AGAIN taking no responsibility. Tim is reporting you to the bar! Update: If you “believe” I have your dog, why haven’t you asked me about the dog? It’s been 2 years and not one time have you contacted me about the dog? Not one time have you asked to see her, provide food, or medical care for her. I have known you, your wife and kids for 20 years, you know where I live and how to get a hold of me. You abandoned her on your wife leaving AGAIN to clean up your mess. When I referred to Phoebes well being, I was referring to your dog being a golden retriever who would run away at any chance she got, and coward down if voices were raised and would run and hide scared from trauma . Much like the condition you’ve left your family in. I can keep going if you want me too.

Less than a week after my kids' case, I decided to hire him. He was supposed to act fast. But after I paid him, nothing was done. For 8 months, I tried calling and visiting his office, because he eventually never responded on the phone. I have video of other clients saying the say thing. He made empty promises and always had an excuse. Eventually, I had to let him go. I even have him on recording saying he will refund me, but 4 months later, still nothing. No emails, no calls... nothing. Following my new lawyer's advice, I will be filing a complaint with the state board. This whole situation delay has only made things worse for my kids. I feel like such a fool for ever trusting him and his excuses.

I would NOT recommend this individual to represent you as an attorney. I hired him back in May 2024, he promised to work on my family law case by initiating a emergency order and an initial motion to modify custody yet never did anything while I provided him with the necessary paperwork/evidence. It took over 2 months to get ahold of him, & yet to my surprise nothing was ever filed with the county clerk's office (OSCN). His excuse was a family matter, yet he never responded to any my calls, texts, nor my numerous emails. It took filing a claim with my credit card company to get him to respond after numerous attempts via multiple methods, which ultimately jeopardized my case. It is currently October, and I have still yet to receive my full refund as he tried to claim that he was entitled to a portion even though nothing was ever done on his end. I paid him in full, yet he insists to return partial refunds that is costing me in terms of additional fees because he refuses to refund my full retainer of $3,622.50. In closing, I have it on good authority to report Mr. Waddell to the OK BAR association for his unethical practices all of which I have organized/collected. Feel free to reach out to me for further proof/advice, as I had to hire a new attorney. Save yourself the time/headache as well as your hard-earned money, as this individual is untrustworthy. The multiple attorneys that I have spoken to in the OKC metro area all concur that this is how he treats his clients. I would have never hired him as my counsel, had I known this is how he operates his private practice. STAY FAR AWAY. YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED. UPDATE 11/4/24: it is currently November and I still have yet to receive my full refund. And what this attorney is saying in response to my end is absolutely FALSE. He went missing for over the course of 2 months and never returned any of my phone calls emails or text messages, he is simply trying to cover up the fact that he did not do his job and I had to hire another attorney. Everything was provided on my end even though he claims otherwise. I had to hire another attorney because of his negligence, he still hasn't refunded my full retainer. He was hired back in May 2024 and here it is November 2024 and I'm still dealing with this matter. Save yourself from this incompetent lawyer, I'm in the process of filing a formal complaint with the Oklahoma bar association for his unethical practices. Attached are screenshots of my correspondence with this abysmal lawyer. Mind you he goes missing for 2 months without any explanation and without being able to be reached. Instead of refunding the full retainer amount here I am requesting time and time again for him to refund my money. Please do NOT waste your time with this unethical lawyer. The other 1 star reviews reinforce the fact that he is NOT to be trusted. This is how he runs his private practice and treats his clientele. The individuals that pay his salary nonetheless. It's never his fault, keep that in mind.

I'm glad I made the call choosing Todd because he has always been there for me and has definitely delivered. If you are ever in a tight spot definitely call Todd

Do not hire this guy, He misses court dates, No communication with his Clients. He also spoke with the other attorney more than he spoke with me, which is a major conflict of interest. The bar association should ban this guy from ever practicing Law.
