Ben handled my divorce 5 years ago and then helped me again last year. He was very professional and prompt. I would definitely contact him if I needed something again and referred a friend to him as well.
Ben Reed has a foul mouth. I asked him about representing me. He told me to drop off the paper work and he will see. The next day he calls saying that in the past two weeks he took on two more cases and that he wouldn’t be able to represent me. When I asked him why he didn’t tell me that the day before he got defensive and foul mouth with me. It’s not acceptable to curse at people and degrade them.
Ben Reed is a very educated lawyer. He was very helpful and knowledgeable with all questions I had. He responded to phone calls and emails in a very timely manner. He also completed all paper work requested very quickly! Would recommend to anyone.
Edit as I’ve had time to make a formal reasoning, but not change my one star review: Stay clear of Julian Valdes — An attorney's oath is to defend your interests vigorously, but Julian is not fit for the job. The entire process of retaining this person as counsel, he was too concerned about his acolytes desires, Jordan Gremmels than his own clients. I did not know the quality and capability of this associate when I first met him and I was a skeptic of his green tenure based on some of unprofessional comments at our first meeting, but when it comes to seeking protection via an OP or just a human in general seeking representation, he is not worthy of his billable hours. Especially if you do all the homework for him and serve it on a platter. I always had a positive outlook on this firm due to my maternal and paternal sides retaining them, but this new era is worrisome. Even for a progressive.
If you are hoping to get results from this firm it is a lost cause. Gerald Reed will bill you every time he even looks at a document that he has already sent to you. Not do anything with it. Just glance at it. He does not return your calls for weeks and when he does he would rather argue with you that he has been doing everything he can and he is just waiting for the opposing side. Well good job there was another $60 well spent. If he does actually go to a pretrial to discuss something with the judge do not hold your breath with high expectations because he won't even try to push for anything you want. This is the saddest excuse for an attorney I have ever had to work with. I have no idea how he has been in business this long. Most likely from taking advantage of the people he can before they get fed up with him.
