John Richards has provided the primary legal support for the Waterbury HOA for approximately fifteen years. The support has included various legal issues throughout the years. Some of the work done for our HOA includes review and revision of CC&R'S AND By-Laws as well as our rules. His guidance throughout the Covid Pandemic has been invaluable. His collection staff provides another important service. The information included in his periodic legal updates - written and in group sessions keep us informed of the most recent legal rulings involving HOA issues. We have always found John and his staff to be most responsive to our requests for assistance with exceptionally sound legal advice. We would recommend his firm to any HOA.

John and his team are the real deal. I first worked with him 12 years ago and he’s always taken care of me and gone over and beyond the call of duty to help me out. This guy is espoused to be an HOA “expert” attorney and he is anything but. He does not return calls, he misses meetings and the meetings he’s able to attend are a complete embarrassment. Frankly, I don’t know how he maintains a license but if you have HOA issues or any legal issues for that matter; run, don’t walk to a different attorney. Pls note the owners “defensive” responses to ALL previous unfavorable (past) reviews. He/they have “ready made” excuses for everything, don’t they? I wish I could give 0 stars but that doesn’t appear to be an option.

This Richard's Law is an ambulance chaser. Looking for the next HOA he can squeeze money out of. In the meantime he promises big results and can't deliver. Billing you huge fees. Stay clear of this one. There are plenty of honest attorneys out there.
