Rikky and her team were the shepherds I needed through a lawsuit that could have destroyed my life. You can look up my name in the public record but it was a legally complex lawsuit I was defending with very low chances and extremely high impact. Her team took the lawsuit from Summary Judgment to trial and finally won a verdict of dismissed with prejudice with an award of attorney fees. So I saw her in action on everything except handling appeals. And I can talk about Rikky’s skill as an attorney throughout the whole process. The legal arguments they were making were tenuous but enough to pose a risk. Rikky patiently walked me through and helped me understand the arguments. This empowered me to find relevant details that can help the suit and guide her in the proper framing. There were many tenuous claims being made by the other side, unfortunately we had to defend against every one of them. Now if you’re dealing with a lawyer, there is one thing you have to know. You know all the nuance of what happened better than anyone. So you need to listen to your lawyer and have them give you an understanding of what is happening so you can advocate for yourself, raise the right concerns to your attorney so they can be integrated into the legal strateg. And this is why it is so important that Rikky was able to help me understand the issues so I could share the correct information with her. And she was extremely patient with me in listening to me narrate my understanding and my legal equivalent of webMD'ing myself. Next the place where Rikky was very helpful was in expectation setting. Lawsuits are extremely emotional and many things happen that may make you lose hope. Rikky through her experience was able to set the right expectations for me. She helped me understand that a judge in an MSJ is putting their reputation on the line for you so I should not expect to carry. When the MSJ was denied, I didn’t walk into mediation with that dejection and it helped me stand my ground. Similarly in the trial she helped me understand many details such as evidentiary objections and rulings so I was comfortable with how the case was going. All of this was thanks to the experience Rikky brought to the table. During the deposition she was able to get a statement that cemented our statute of limitations defense. When the point came up in trial the result was us attacking their credibility by bringing up the statement, and past court records. So her handling of the deposition was great in terms of exposing the contradictions and giving us the ammo we needed for trial. There were other strategic decisions that Rikky made that showed her skill and experience level. Not presenting a case and resting when she believed the plaintiff’s hadn’t proven their case. The coaching on how to mentally prepare yourself for testimony and how to maintain your demeanor. I’m a quiet person in general with verbal tics that may come off as evasive. So her continuous coaching was extremely helpful. One other aspect I want to talk about is her building the right team. She brought an outsider Heidi Bloch as an appeals lawyer who added several key issues to our team. We had some documents submitted against us last minute, and Mary Evelyn and Heidi created a stance against them while we were in trial. She waited till after the appeal date expired. But the day after that she put liens in place for the collection of attorney fees and started interviewing collections attorneys for me. In the end we were able to collect attorney fees which is an extremely rare occurrence. This journey was more than 2 years. And I’m extremely grateful to Rikky for helping me navigate it. And I believe she can give you the support you need for your legal needs.
Not fiduciary, arrogant and rude, inept, and Rikky Rivers kissed my neck in the "financial trial" which is assault. Stay far away from this firm, they were not loyal, threatened me to cover their breach. Rivers McNamara is demanded to send me any retraction request. They won't because it's true. Never helped, assisted to my harm and tried to "Britney Spears" me because I got upset when they broke privlege and sent my assistant to my home in the middle of the night so they could access my property. Face at my backdoor in the middle of the night. Beyond cruel, negligent and just horrible legal representation (Rikky Rivers) while I was divorcing my abuser, Alex "Sandy Hook" Jones. All women and people of ethics should stay far, far away, IMO.
