We had our property deeds and wills for our estate completed here 4 years ago. My husband just passed away, and my personal representative called to ask a simple question regarding the language in one sentence. No one would speak to us on the phone and I was told they no longer do "wills and estates". Really? Their website says they do. Either way, this is their work, and I didn't appreciate being told to call a different firm. Unsatisfied with the lack of professionalism on the phone, we thought perhaps it was a misunderstanding, so my rep went to the office. Nope, can't help answer a simple question... and not even a "sorry for your loss." If you want an attorney to back up his/her work, you may want to go elsewhere. I have not had this experience with any law practice. So shocking. Hope the managing partner is aware of how poorly we were treated.

Called a few times before reaching anyone. When I did, I explained the general nature of my case to the admin assistant. Received a call back later and she said the attorney would not speak with me and I should find someone else. My case was clearly listed among their areas of practice. There was absolutely no explanation what the issue was and she did not offer any references on who else to call. It seems totally unprofessional and frankly rude to turn some one in need of legal representation away with no context.

Acadia Law Group and Attorney Alison King have handled a variety of real estate closings, corporations and contract matters for us. Ms. King has always provided very competent and personable service. The entire staff is very responsive if you have any questions regarding your legal matter or case. I highly recommend Acadia Law Group.

This law office prepared paperwork in 2015 for a sale of property we owned with a balloon payment in five years. There are questions about the documents as the time is fast-approaching for the final balloon payment, but the original attorney who prepared the legal papers retired. We could get no one in their office to answer a five minute question clarifying language. A lawyer in Tucson, where we live, stated in his opinion, the legal language was vague and that we needed to get answers from the law office that prepared the documents. Acadia Law Group refused to answer a simple question re: language and referred us to another firm in Bangor.
