Senior Citizens' Law Office

I had a will, a living will and a durable power of attorney prepared by the SCLO. Everything was handled professionally and competently. I highly recommend them to any seniors needing legal services.

Typical waste of time. Outfit claims to help Senior Citizens, but does little or nothing of any real value. Comfortable, looked to me like semi-retired staff, that don't care to do any work. You always get what you pay for. This "help" is supposed to be free. So they don't actually care. They have no skin in the game.

Treated my mom, terribly, and kept requesting documents they lost. Seemed unable (or unwilling) to complete a simple Will. I emailed the documents twice and offered to drive them to their office and hand deliver them. The originals were later found by a legal assistant, shoved in a drawer. The attorney was curt, abrasive and unprofessionally condescending. If this is how they treated my mother, it worries me how they treat elderly citizens who have no choice but to rely on their legal services.

I do not recommend hiring Marsha Shasteen. She is rude and disrespectful towards her clients, as well as lazy, incompetent, and completely unprofessional in her behavior. She handled my case very poorly and never accomplished to effectively resolve my case. Marsha Shasteen is a complete failure as an attorney.

My Partner made an appointment for the two of us to use this firm for wills and some other legal services. So today, after waiting more than four months, we went to our appointment. We arrived about 1/2 hour early and brought our pertinent files for reference. We had to wait for someone to unlock the front door, and escort us to a waiting area. A lady appeared and asked for my partner only. My Partner mentioned that the appointment had been set for the both of us, but they would not agree to include me. I told my Partner to go ahead with her business, and I would wait for her. After she disappeared into a nearby office, the receptionist told me I could not wait in the waiting area, that I must leave. So I went to the office and told my Partner that I could not wait in the waiting room, and that we should just go. She agreed and we left, after the receptionist unlocked the door. This place operates like a detention center or a jail. My thought...if they cannot even keep their appointments correctly, how competent is their legal work? I gave them 1 star, only because I could not give them no star.
