Not only did he represent me in a way that I felt he was truly fighting for my child and I, he and his office staff made the entire situation less stressful on me by handling everything, and keeping me well informed. Be sure to read the details of your contract! In my grief I did not question the "non-refundable retainer". The last time we spoke I was told that the retainer was used up. I requested an itemized statement two months ago and have seen nothing. It would be helpful to understand how probate (uncontested, esp.) costs $5000 for only the first step (representation papers) and no ad was published. 1/22/23 It feels necessary to respond as it seems their strategy is to malign any client who posts negative reviews, rather than stick with facts and evidence, as should be the procedure with law (in my humble opinion). So, for example, since the retainer was paid, isn't "expectation of free representation" an unproven opinion? I have no evidence of "completed paperwork" (as I had to hire a new lawyer when the inventory was not completed) nor "excellence" since my experience was unreturned phone calls (log of outgoing vs incoming calls on my phone) and delayed paperwork (timeline from court process).
