I have read horrible and terrifying stories online; i.e., Yelp and other online resources about this attorney. Also, in speaking with him once I have noticed all negative reviews regarding this office is absolutely true.

Steve was very condensing and belittling. He never talked to any of my character references he said in the initial consult that were important to have. Every conversation he talked down and in an aggressive manner. He was very opinionated and I never felt he was fair or just. It was about money. If you can switch GAL attorneys do it ASAP. He doesn't listen to the kids either. He never felt like he cares about anyone's best interest as long as he was getting paid.

After over a year (promised 4-5 months), and $12,000 later, I lost my house and had to pay my ex the maximum allowed by law and only got to see my son once a week for four hours. Saw my son three time of the three years I was given, and they did nothing to help me. Be careful, they appear for court dates and enter a "status update" and walk out. This means the lawyers have not come to an agreement (in 18 months). Then when I refused to continue paying the woman yelled at me, I just stared at her. Finally, the case was settled the next court date on courthouse computers in an hour. I told them if they wanted a final payment I wanted an itemized bill. They sent me a bill that stated "Legal Fees", with a ridiculous number. Don't pay them, a lawyer can not sue a client for fees.

Steve Wasko is very professional and cares a lot, I highly recommend! He gets the job done fast!

Steve Wasko has a sterling reputation of doing absolutely no work as a GAL/Child Representative. He is totally incompetent. I have seen attorneys decline his appointment when he is sitting in front of the judge. They knew what they are doing. Steve Wasko would be fired for the service he provides is any real private sector job. His level of communication and service could be surpassed by any busboy or drive-through attendant at any fast food restaurant. He is dangerously absent and inept, and abuses children he purports to represent..
